The new Renault Megane Sport Tourer arrives in UK showrooms today
To our eyes the Megane Sport tourer is a pretty good looking car. It follows the fashion for swoopy estates and does a convincing job of turning the Megane in to a load carrier without making it look as of Renault have just bolted a pile of sheet metal at the back. The Sport Tourer comes in a bewildering array of 21 different models across four trim levels – Expression, Dynamique, TomTom Edition and Privilège.
Lamborghini Sesto Elemento - it's official
Perhaps the worst-kept secret at Lamborghini has been production confirmation of the Sesto Elemento, the ultra lightweight supercar Lamborghini revealed at the Paris Motor Show this time last year. As long ago as November last year we had the news that the Sesto Elemento would go in to production after a French car news site reported that Lamborghini would be building a very limited run of the cars at €2.5 million each. By May of this year we knew that Lamborghini had already started getting the Sesto Elemento ready for the first customers, and we reported that the first cars would be heading for customers by October this year at a more reasonable €1.9 million – although that’s October in Italian terms, so anything up to next Spring is possible.
Hungarian Grand Prix (2014): RESULT
What a difference a year makes – in 2013 Lewis Hamilton was on pole for the Hungarian Grand Prix, but this year, after a car fire in qualifying, Hamilton starts from the pit lane as his team mate, Nico Rosberg, starts from pole in Hungary. Did Lewis manage to win? No, but he managed third place behind Ricciardo and Alonso and beat Rosberg, who finished fourth in one of the best F1 races there’s been.
